Council Seeks To Reassure Residents Over New Homes Concern

Council bosses have ruled out any building of homes between Market Harborough and East Farndon for the foreseeable future.

It emerged last month up to 2,000 homes could go up, after an area of land just over the border in Northamptonshire was identified for potential development.

That led to a petition being launched which has been signed by over 600 people, opposing any house building there.

Colin Staves, principal planner at West Northamptonshire Council told a consultation event that the site is not part of the authority’s current plan for new housing:
