Plans For Remembrance Period Announced

There will be no Remembrance Sunday parade or Church service in Market Harborough again this year, because of the pandemic.
However, a short ceremony including the laying of wreaths will take place on The Square on November 14th.
A decision on whether or not to hold the traditional parade had to be taken last month at a time the Covid-19 rate here was among the highest in the country.
Stewart Harrison, chairman of the town branch of the Royal British Legion, told Hfm they will also mark Remembrance Day on Thursday November 11th:
The Royal British Legion will also lay a wreath at the RBL Plaque and at the Covid 19 plaque opposite in Welland Park at 2pm on Saturday November 13 and at 3pm that afternoon they will hold the traditional commemoration at the World War One Portico at Rosewood Manor care home on Coventry Road.
