The plan to install permanent CCTV at Little Bowden Recreation Ground has moved forward.
A planning application to site a camera on a six-metre high post near the children’s play area has been lodged.
Harborough District Council agreed to the move, costing around £16,500, earlier this year, following incidents of anti-social behaviour at the park.
A temporary camera was installed previously, although footage from the permanent device will be monitored at the town’s CCTV control room.
