Fire Crew At Village Fete Called Into Action After Blaze Breaks Out At Near-By House

Firefighters who were at yesterday’s village fete in Braybrooke were called into action after a blaze broke out at a near-by house.
The crew from Desborough were visiting the event as part of their work in the community when the 999 call came through at 3.45pm.
They arrived at the scene of the blaze in the conservatory of the property in Green Lane within minutes and quickly extinguished it.
A faulty battery charger started the fire, which left the conservatory damaged.
No-one was injured and the fire service has praised the owner of the house for keeping adjoining doors shut to prevent the fire and smoke spreading.
