Detailed Plans Submitted For 150 New Homes In Fleckney

The building of a new 150-home housing estate in Fleckney has moved closer.

Davidsons Homes have now submitted a detailed planning application for a mix of one to five bedroom properties on the site, off Arnesby Road

Outline planning permission for the development was granted in 2018, despite objections from Fleckney Parish Council, who said the increased population would put a strain on existing infrastructure in the village.

The 10.15 hectare site is currently a parcel of undeveloped agricultural land and a house within the site, Birdcage Cottage, is to be demolished as part of the development.

Harborough District Council will now consider the detailed plan.
