Residents To Quiz MoJ About Plans For New Prison Near Market Harborough

Residents living near where a proposed new prison will be built on the outskirts of Market Harborough will get the chance to quiz bosses from the Ministry of Justice later.
The first of two webinars is being held this evening, after plans for the jail, which would house 1,700 male prisoners were announced last month.
It is earmarked for land close to the existing Gartree Prison.
The MoJ has written to residents living in Gartree inviting them to take part in the on-line event, as part of a public consultation into the plan.
