New Book Tells The Story Of Life In Lutterworth Over Three Decades

Written by on 23rd June 2021

A new book all about Lutterworth has been launched today.

Over 70 people have contributed to ‘Lutterworth Memories,’ detailing their recollections of life in the town between 1950 and 1980.

The launch of the book was delayed by the pandemic, but took place this morning in The Wycliffe Rooms, with some of those who feature in it.

Proceeds from sales are going to the charity Age Concern Lutterworth.

Tony Hirons came up with idea for the book 18 months ago, when he was town mayor, and co-edited it with John Woodford, who both spoke to Hfm’s Nick Shaw:

The book, priced £8, is on sale at several outlets in Lutterworth or can be ordered by emailing anthonyhirons@btinternet.com
