Stabbing Suspects Released On Bail

Two people arrested after a man was stabbed in Market Harborough have been released on bail.

A man aged 18 and a boy aged 16, both from the Kettering area, were questioned on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding With Intent.

Police have released them both on bail, pending further enquires into the incident.

Officers believe the victim, aged 21, was attacked in the Brittannia Walk area at around 9pm – he was found in the Sainsbury’s Car Park shortly afterwards.

He was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance and treated for ‘superficial wounds,’ before being discharged.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “The investigation continues and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Officers are also appealing to anyone who captured footage of the incident on their phones or on video recording equipment to contact them.
