Man Stabbed In Market Harborough

A young man has been stabbed in Market Harborough.

The 21-year-old was found with stab wounds in the Sainsbury’s Car Park at 9.20pm, although Police believe he was attacked in the Britannia Walk/Nithsdale Crescent area, shortly beforehand.

The victim was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance, which landed at the Symington’s Recreation Ground.

No details of his condition have yet been revealed.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Hfm: “The investigation is in it’s very early stages, however it’s believed the incident may have taken place in the Britannia Walk and Nithsdale Crescent area shortly before the injured man was found.

“Both areas have been cordoned off to allow for a forensic examination.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or knows anything about the circumstances leading up to the incident is asked to contact 101, quoting incident 662 of 12 June.

“Officers remain the local area while those enquiries are ongoing to reassure local residents.”
