First Phase Of Massive New Housing Estate Given Permission

Written by on 2nd June 2021

Planning permission has been granted for the first phase of a massive new housing estate on the edge of Market Harborough.

164 homes, 56 of which will be ‘affordable,’ will be built on land adjoining Coleridge Way, off Kettering Road in Little Bowden.

Eventually 600 homes will go up on 88 acres of land stretching towards Braybrooke, creating a new community to be known as ‘Overstone Park.’

A primary school, doctors surgery and community centre will also be built.

Groundworks on the site began last year and two new roundabouts will be constructed as part of the development – one at the entrance to the site on Kettering Road and the other at the near-by A6 junction at Clack Hill.
