Businesses across Harborough forced to close their doors during the latest lockdown can now apply for new support cash.

The government has handed the District Council over £4.5m to distribute via the Restart Grants Scheme.

Non-essential retail businesses are eligible for one-off grants of up to £6,000 and those in the hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym sectors can apply for up to £18,000.

The grants are worked out on the rateable value of business premises and can be applied for through the council’s website HERE

Since the first lockdown last year Harborough District Council has distributed over £30m of support funding to over 2,000 local businesses, using money provided by the government.
