Market Harborough Bank To Stay Open

Market Harborough’s Santander is not included in a list of 111 branches to be closed across the country.

The High Street bank is not affected by today’s announcement, which will see seven branches shutting across Leicester and Leicestershire by the end of August, including in Oadby.

Bosses say there will be no compulsory redundancies, and some 5,000 staff will be offered the option to work from home.

Most of the affected branches are near other sites, and at least two free-to-use ATMs.
