Person Hit By Train In Newton Harcourt

A person has sadly died after being hit by a train in Newton Harcourt.
Emergency services were called to reports of a casualty on the railway tracks just after 11.20am today.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police told Hfm: “Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Train services from Market Harborough are currently suspended, as the line has been closed between Leicester and Kettering.
