Safety Improvements To Take Effect From Next Week

Improvements aimed at making things safer for cyclists and drivers on Kettering Road in Little Bowden are set to into force next week.
Work to widen existing cycle lanes under the railway bridge and install temporary traffic lights either side of it – to improve traffic flow – will take place on Sunday.

The Leicestershire County Council scheme is being paid for by the government’s ‘Emergency Active Travel Fund’ – set up to encourage more people to cycle during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The road will be shut at the bridge between 8am and 8pm on Sunday while the work takes place.
