A Market Harborough Mum says she feels unsafe in her own home after burglars stole cash and sentimental jewellery totalling about £4,000.
The money was in a personal safe, which was taken along with other items including an Xbox games console and toys from the bedrooms of her young sons.
The burglary happened between 9am on Tuesday and 9pm yesterday, while Gemma Arnold and her boys, aged 4 and 7, spent two days away in Bournemouth.
It’s not clear how the intruders got into the house on Northampton Road, near the Cinnamon Lounge restaurant.
Gemma, who works part-time at Zizzi in Market Harborough, is appealing for anyone with information to contact the Police.
She spoke to Hfm:
One of the passports that was in the safe has been found today discarded on the Brampton Valley Way.
Anyone with information about the burglary should call Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 2000 040 7206
