Decision Set To Be Made On Road Closures

Church Street remains closed to traffic

A decision on whether road closures in Market Harborough town centre will continue is set to be made in just over a week.

Harborough Council is analysing survey responses after seeking people’s views about Adam and Eve Street and Church Street.

Some businesses want the roads re-opened to traffic – saying its impacting trade – others are in favour of the move, which was introduced to encourage social distancing and safe queuing, when more shops were allowed to re-open earlier this month.

An announcement is set to be made on August 12^th.
