Police Want Builders To Install Alarms On New Homes

Written by on 27th July 2020

Police say all 350 houses planned for a massive new housing estate on the edge of Market Harborough should be fitted with burglar alarms.

The Leicestershire force has made crime prevention recommendations about the proposed development between Northampton Road and the Brampton Valley Way,

It also says CCTV and automatic number plate recognition cameras should be installed on the entrance road to site, if planning permission is granted.

Similar such recommendations are being made for other new homes sites across the county.

Harborough Council is set to consider the plan later this year.
