Huge Development Plan Near Lutterworth To Be Considered

The plan for a huge development including nearly 3,000 homes near Lutterworth will be considered next week and is being recommended for the go-ahead.

Harborough councillors deferred making a decision on the scheme in April, due to late representations from Leicester’s Hospitals, who have requested nearly £1m from developers, to mitigate the impact the extra population would have on hospitals.

The area proposed for the development

The development is proposed for 556 acres of farmland adjacent to the M1 by Leicestershire County Council.

Planning officers are recommending permission for it is granted.
