Plan For Private Dog Walking Field ‘Withdrawn’

The controversial plan to turn land in Little Bowden into a private dog walking field has been withdrawn by the landowner.

Harborough councillors had been due to consider it tonight, with the application for the land off Braybrooke Road recommended for refusal.

Over 70 people had objected to the plan, with council planning officers raising concerns about a six foot high mesh fence, proposed for around the two and a half acre site, saying it would create an eye-sore and questioned the need for such a facility.
