Market Harborough Golf Club Re-Opens

Market Harborough Golf Club has re-opened after the easing of Coronavirus restrictions which had seen it shut for over seven weeks.

Members are back on the greens and visitors will be allowed back from next Wednesday.

Measures are in place to ensure social-distancing can be observed and people can play safely.

Jim Jacobs, a member of the organising committee at the course off Northampton Road, spoke to Hfm:

Meanwhile, Harborough Council says it looking at the latest government guidance with a view to re-opening the tennis courts in Welland Park.

A spokesman said: “We are actively looking at the Government’s latest guidance in detail with a view to opening the tennis courts; we are just establishing how we can implement any changes safely whilst ensuring social distancing.

“We need to ensure Council-owned locations, used by the public, are safe to minimise the spread of Covid-19 and that appropriate new signage is put in place.”
