Documentary To Tell Tale Of ‘Evil’ Killer

The case of a churchwarden who tortured and murdered a university lecturer is to be the subject of a TV documentary tonight.

Ben Field, 28, who grew up in Market Harborough, was found guilty of killing 69-year-old Peter Farquhar in Buckinghamshire in 2015, in order to benefit from his will.

The programme is narrated using entries from Mr Farquhar’s diary, described as “a voice from beyond the grave”.

‘Catching a Killer: A Diary from the Grave’, tells the story of how Police investigated – it’s screened on Channel Four at 9pm.
