The organiser of Market Harborough’s Christmas Fayre has resigned.
Juliette Maher has run the popular late night shopping event for the past four years, first stepping in when the future of the event was thrown into doubt.
She says challenges faced in putting on the latest event in December were far more than she ever expected and led to her decision to step down.
It’s hoped someone will step forward to take on the organisation of future events.
Mrs Maher told Hfm: “It comes with great sadness, I am resigning from organising the Christmas Fayre/ Late night shopping from this year,
“The challenges I received this year, were far more than I ever expected and I fear they will only increase as the years go by, and because of this it affects my family life more and more.
“We have the road closures in place for next year as well as £300 to transfer across after all our donations are paid.
“I would like to thank you for all the help and support you have given me over the last 4 years, and I hope whoever takes over next year the best of luck and I will happily help if I can”.
