Changes Afoot At Angel Hotel

Most of the bedrooms at The Angel hotel in Market Harborough will no longer be available to guests from the New Year.

Instead, they will be used by students from Brooke House College.

All the bedrooms in the main part of the historic High Street hotel will be used by the students, although the ground floor, including the bar and function rooms, will continue trading as normal, as will the courtyard bedrooms

Bosses say no job losses are planned as a result of the changes and plans for further development of the courtyard area are set to be announced soon.

The hotel, a former coaching inn that dates back to the 16th century, has accommodated students at various times over the past 15 years, although will now do this on a more permanent basis.
