‘Stranger Danger’ Alert Issued

A stranger danger alert has been issued after a schoolboy was reportedly followed home in Market Harborough yesterday afternoon by a man in a van.

The younger, who was riding a scooter on his way home from the Market Harborough C of E Academy, says he was followed from Leicester Road into the Alvington Way estate, with the vehicle, described as silver with a 2019 registration, driving slowly behind and following him into side streets, before he was able to get home safely.

The school issued an alert to children and parents and have made other schools in the town aware of the incident, as well as informing Police.
