Cars & Motorbikes Destroyed In Fire

An ember from a log burner is the likely cause of a fire in Kibworth yesterday that destroyed a vehicle workshop.

Five classic cars in various stages of restoration and repair were wrecked along with three motorbikes following the blaze on Fleckney Road that broke out just before 1pm.

Twenty firefighters battled the fire that was made more complicated because various types of gas cylinders were inside the building, adjacent to a house.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue is urging people with log burners to ensure the face is closed if leaving them unattended.
