Memorial Gardens Transformed For Remembrance

Written by on 29th October 2019

Market Harborough’s Memorial Gardens have been transformed for the Remembrance period.

254 small white crosses have been placed on one side, each bearing the name of someone from the town who lost their life in World War One, and 73 on the other, as a tribute to those killed in World War Two.

It’s the 19th year the Market Harborough branch of the Royal British Region have carried out the tribute in the run-up to Armistice Day and Chairman Stewart Harrison spoke to Hfm as it was being laid out:

A Sunset Ceremony will be held in the Memorial Gardens at 4pm on Saturday November 9th.
