Big Response To ‘Dog Control’ Consultation

200 people have had their say about Harborough Council measures to deal with irresponsible dog owners.
They have responded to a public consultation asking if legislation to issue fines to people who fail to clear up after their pets, don’t carry ‘poop’ bags, or fail to put dogs on leads when directed, should continue.
Bosses have also held a meeting with a group representing dog owners.
The consultation runs until Monday and the results considered before a final decision is made.
