Family Hit By Double Tragedy
Written by HFM News on 19th September 2019
A Market Harborough woman wants to raise the profile of organ donation after her Mum and Aunty died from brain hemorrhages within 24 hours of each other, in separate countries.
Amanda Williams, who was 54, collapsed as she was preparing to fly out to be at the bedside of her sister Jacqueline, who was three years older, and had fallen seriously ill shortly before in Germany.
Both sadly passed away in hospital.

Amanda’s daughter Kellie Aikens, who herself had surgery to remove a benign tumour from her brain earlier this year, is taking comfort that her Mum’s heart has been used to save the life of someone else.
Kellie spoke to Hfm:
The family is arranging with the German authorities to have Jacqueline flown home so the sisters can have a joint funeral at Gilroes Cemetery in Leicester on Monday, September 30, which Kellie is organising.
An on-line fundraising page has been set-up by a friend to help the family at this time – visit it HERE
