Anti-Bullying Group Becomes Charity

A Market Harborough organisation that supports victims of bullying is celebrating achieving charitable status.
Harborough Against Bullying was formed in 2011 and following a short break was re-launched at the start of this year.
The new status means people can be assured all money raised goes directly to its vital work and it will also open up other funding opportunities.

The group runs a helpline, pays for specialist counselling sessions for children and adults who have been the victim of bullying, and also spreads the anti-bullying message by holding activity evenings at youth organisations.
It was set-up by Marie Connor from Market Harborough after her disabled son was attacked during anti-bullying week eight years ago, following years of bullying.
