Rockingham Rd To Re-Open Early
Written by HFM News on 20th August 2019
Rockingham Road in Market Harborough is to re-open to traffic later this week, as work under the railway bridge will be completed more than a week ahead of schedule.
It’s been shut since last month to allow Severn Trent Water to connect new water pipes, with the closure causing long delays for drivers on diversion routes.
The company say they wanted to re-open it in time for this weekend’s County Show at the Showground, which will generate extra traffic, and say the road closure will be lifted by Friday afternoon.
The next phase of the £2m project to replace aging water pipes across Market Harborough will be on Great Bowden Road, Fernie Road and Albert Road.
