A6 Could Get Speed Cameras

Consideration is to be given into installing average speed cameras on the stretch of the A6 bypass labelled a ‘race-track’ by Police.

A number of drivers have been caught travelling at over 100 miles per hour between Great Glen and Kibworth during checks by officers over the past few months.

Leader of Harborough Council Phil King has spoken to Hfm after meeting with Leicestershire County Council, who would  put up the cameras, over his fears someone will be killed if the situation continues.
