Vet Suspended For Attacking Dog

A vet has been suspended for four months for kicking and stamping on a dog after it bit him at the Vets4Pets Practice in Market Harborough.
Dr Jatinder Dhami attacked the Staffordshire bull terrier in November 2017, after the pet was taken to the practice, inside Pets At Home at the Springfield Retail Park, for a booster injection.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons committee had the power to ban him from practicing but decided that, based on good references and character witnesses, it would be unlikely to happen again and a suspension was appropriate.
Pets at Home, which owns Vets4Pets, has been approached for comment.
