Local politicians congratulate Boris Johnson

Harborough’s MP and the Conservative Leader of Harborough District
Council have joined the chorus of congratulations to Boris Johnson on
becoming the UK’s next Prime Minister.
Mr Johnson takes over from Theresa May today, after receiving twice as
many votes from Tory party members as his rival Jeremy Hunt.
Neil O’Brien MP says he’s sure the new PM will now want to move to unite
the country at this difficult time.
Councillor Phil King says residents in Harborough and across the country
will benefit from the certainty of knowing who’s in charge to take
things forward.
