Lotto Success Celebrated!

More than £35,000 has been raised for good causes since the launch of the Harborough Lotto a year ago.

The success was celebrated last night

Cash prizes totalling nearly £9,000 have also been won by people playing it, plus nearly £3,000 in free tickets and £250 worth of Amazon vouchers.

Over 1000 tickets a week are being sold, with 60p from every £1 lottery ticket going directly to players’ chosen charity or community group, with a top prize of £25,000 up for grabs.

More than 40 groups are now part of the Lotto and the success of it was celebrated at an event last night at Harborough Council, who launched the lotto in 2018.

On the night, Chairman of Harborough District Council cut a special birthday cake and a special prize draw saw local good cause Shopmobility picked at random to win a cheque for £500.
