Road Closure For 3 Weeks
Written by HFM News on 31st May 2019
Drivers are being warned there will be no access onto Great Bowden Road from Rockingham Road in Market Harborough for three weeks from June 10th.
The closure will enable Severn Trent Water to continue replacing water pipes.
A small section of the road – from the railway station junction to Albany Road – will be shut, with diversions signposted.
Signs placed on the road stating the closure is going on for 60 days, until the start of August, are incorrect and Severn Trent are to alter them after Hfm made them aware.
Following the closure, temporary traffic lights will be in use at the junction.
The water firm is spending £2m upgrading pipes in a bid to reduce leaks and bursts with work continuing on Kettering Road and the Southern Estate.
