Volunteers from Market Harborough In Boom are busy making the town look good as they prepare to enter the East Midlands In Bloom competition.

They are working in various areas ahead of a visit by judges in the summer.
Over 1,500 plants have been planted in the past few weeks, including in 45 planters in the town centre, with another 1,500 to go.

Speaking to Hfm from their base in Welland Park, Barbara Tallis, Chair of the Market Harborough in Bloom Volunteers, praised all the helpers:
Last year the In Bloom team picked up a host of awards in the contest, which saw Market Harborough come second overall in the Large Town Category of the East Midlands In Bloom competition, securing a Gold award.
Harborough MP Neil O’Brien visited the team and helped with their work in the town centre!
