Post Office & Shop ‘To Let’

The home of Market Harborough’s town centre Post Office has been put up for let.
The branch, inside the GT News Shop in St Mary’s Place, is set to shut in July because the Sub-postmaster is resigning.
Agents have started to market the shop, asking for rent of £73,000 a year.
No new premises to house the Post Office have yet been found although, Post Office bosses say they continue to talk to interested parties.
A Post Office spokesperson told Hfm: “ We understand how important a Post Office is to a community and we would like to reassure customers that we are working hard to maintain a Post Office in this area of Market Harborough.”
The James Retail Group, which owns GT News, has refused to comment.
