Local Plan Set To Be Adopted

An independent Planning Inspector has given the go-ahead for Harborough Council to adopt its Local Plan.
It maps out where development – including thousands of new homes will be built over the next 12 years.
It includes just over 1,100 in Market Harborough, 2,700 in Lutterworth and 295 in Fleckney.
The move follows a period of public consultation that took place in February.
The Council’s Executive will consider adopting it at a meeting next week before the Full Council is asked to endorse it at a special meeting on April 30th.
An adopted Local Plan will enable the Council to refuse development that is not in accordance with the Plan.
