Inspector Deliberates Magna Park Expansion

A government inspector is expected to decide within eight weeks as to whether Magna Park near Lutterworth can double in size.
It follows the conclusion of a Planning Inquiry that heard evidence from the business park’s owner – which says the expansion will create thousands of jobs – and campaigners – who say it will ruin the countryside and cause traffic congestion.
IDI Gazeley appealed Harborough Council’s decision to refuse permission for the extension, meaning the Inspector will have to decide if that decision will be overturned.
