Medical Centre Evacuated After Gas Leak
Written by HFM News on 22nd January 2019
A 100-metre cordon was put in place around Rothwell Medical Centre after a car crashed into a gas main in the car park, causing a major leak.
The Medical Centre was evacuated and will remain closed for the rest of the day – the nearby Montsaye Academy was not affected.

The Fire Service was alerted just before 11am today and together with engineers from Cadent Gas were sent to the building on Desborough Road to deal with the issue.
A section of the B576 was also shut for over two hours while the leak was isolated and the area made safe.
No-body was injured in the initial collision or as a result of the leak.

Patient appointments at the medical centre were moved to Desborough Surgery for the day. Further information is available from the practice website: www.rdhg.co.uk
