Warning Over Doorstep Fraudsters

Police are warning people to be on guard from callers, claiming to have noticed problems with their houses.

Officers have received a number of reports of men showing up unannounced at homes in Market Harborough in the past week.

They have told occupants, mainly elderly, they need urgent work doing on their roofs, and offered to carry it out, or even claimed to have made repairs.
