People Rally Round To Help Dog Pippin Beat Cancer

People are rallying round to support a family from Great Glen after their beloved pet dog was diagnosed with cancer.

Five-year-old Shih-Poo Pippin needs 19-weeks of chemotherapy following emergency surgery, but the cost will not be covered by pet insurance, as payments for treatments so-far have gone over the insurer’s limit.

Struggling to fund the £8,000 cost of the chemotherapy treatment herself, Pippin’s owner Jacky Watson, who works at Market Harborough Medical Centre, launched a crowdfunding appeal, which has so far raised nearly £2,000.
