Charity Ride Raised Over £2,000 For Charities Close To Ben’s Heart

A Market Harborough man battling cancer is thanking all who supported a fundraiser he thought he would never be able to take part in.
Ben Johnson raised over £2,000 in sponsorship after he and friend Wesley Cash completed a charity motorbike ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End, via back roads.
The covered the distance of just over 2,000 miles in five days.

Wes & Ben reach Land’s End to complete the fundraising challenge.
Money raised will be split between two charities who have been helping Ben – Together Against Cancer and the Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre, both based in Leicester.
He had been left with agonising pain, after suffering nerve damage following an operation to remove a tumour from around his heart, but an operation on his nerves earlier this year has dramatically improved things, meaning he could take part in the fundraising challenge.
