22 Drivers Face Fines After Safety Checks In Market Harborough

Over 20 drivers were stopped by Police during a ‘Fatal4’ road safety operation in Market Harborough.
15 were not wearing seatbelts, 7 were caught using their mobile and one person didn’t have a driving licence.
All have been reported for the offences and no face fines and points on their licences.

The two-hour operation took place on Springfield Street yesterday, with officers targeting drivers speeding, not wearing seatbelts, using mobiles at the wheel or driving under the influence of drink or drugs – the key factors in serious or fatal crashes.
