1,800 Properties Affected By Power Cut In Market Harborough

A fault with an overhead pylon caused a power cut which affected over 1,800 homes and business in Market Harborough last night.

National Grid say it was able to restore supplies to 1,200 properties within 15 minutes of the blackout at 9pm and the remainder by 9.30pm.

The Leicester Road, Coventry Road and Lubenham Hill areas were among those affected.

The company says the fault was located on a pylon  just outside Market Harborough and has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
