Market Harborough Commemorates 100th Anniversary of World War One
Market Harborough paid tribute on the evening of Monday, August 4th to those who served and died during World War One on the Centenary of the outbreak of the conflict.
A ceremony watched by around 150 members of the public took place by the Portico at the entrance to the Cottage Hospital.
Meanwhile a plaque to mark the restoration of the pergola and rose garden in the Memorial Gardens to commemorate the anniversary was also unveiled.
The events were organised by the local branch of the Royal British Legion and Churches Together in Harborough.
